Thinking of powder and midweek skiing.

It was one of those sneak powder days at Stevens pass. Snow report said 8″, but it had been windy the night before and I knew it was going to ski deep. Arrived at the pass, and it was still snowing HARD. Barely a soul in the parking lot, I love midweek.

Rolled over to Hogsback chair, my favorite way to get a feel for the snow conditions. Ran into some buddies who said it was deep… still snowing hard. Collected what felt like an inch just on the ride up the lift in my lap. Wow, this is going to be good. At the top. Jetting down under the chair, sneaking over to a little wind drift zone. Hammered a pillow with a big lazy slash. Boof! Faceshot! Cleared the googles in time to tee-up to the roller ahead. Sent it big, another boof, another faceshot. Another great run at Stevens Pass and I had the whole day ahead of me.
